Radlett: Ist Sunday of each month from March to October There are 3 ride options:
A fast ride: for more experienced riders on road bikes used to riding in a peleton and comfortable riding 45 miles, starting 9:15am. Average 16 -18 mph
A standard club ride: All bikes welcome. This offers a steadier ride for new and prospective members, starting 9:30am. Average 12-14 mph
An off road ride (starting in April) : Mountain and hybrid bikes only.Meet 09.30 for a 20-25 mile great off road ride with coffee stop .Led by David Shafier.
On these rides there is usually no cafe stop until we are back at the car park in Radlett where we meet for coffee and bagels at Yummies, High Street , Radlett, 2 minutes walk from the car park .(10% discount for NCC riders)
Radlett 2018 dates:
March 4, April 8, May 6, June 3, July 1, August 5, September 2, October 7. This is the last ride of the season until the rides restart in March 2019. However the Northwood and off road rides from Radlett will continue through the autumn and winter months subject to weather and leader availbility
These Sunday rides are for club members with road bikes and take place throughout the year except when there is a Radlett ride or unsuitable weather and no leader. The rides tend to be approx 45-50 miles at a brisk pace (14-16 mph) in the Chilterns with a coffee/breakfast stop half way. Meet 8.50am for a 09.00 prompt start .Green Lane Car Park, Northwood HA6 2QB.
